Betty Musselwhite has been a dog lover since her first Golden Retriever puppy was placed in her arms at age three. Since then, she has shared her life with many other dogs, Basset Hounds to Bouviers, and all sizes in between. She once completely lost her heart to a one-of-a-kind black and white Cocker – Rubye – that made life an endless comic strip. Betty and husband Doug now share their Oxford home with teenage Shitzhu curmudgeon, Moose, and a rescued Louisiana Golden, Hattie.
In addition to their own dogs, they have opened their home to foster for Memphis Area Golden Retriever Rescue (MAGRR). Betty continues to volunteer for MAGRR in Oxford, interviewing families wishing to adopt a special Golden of their own.
Betty and Doug moved to Oxford in 2011 from Germantown, Tennessee following Betty’s retirement from FedEx after thirty plus years of service. Her professional experience is in Sales and Marketing and includes corporate events, policy and technical writing and training.
