Sarah is a passionate artist. She studied at Belhaven College and also abroad in Italy, both of which were life-changing experiences. A member of the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council in Oxford she is happy to have found a community to share in her love of art.
An avid pet lover, Sarah considers it a privilege to be a part of the Homeward Bound team. She has a deep connection with and is committed to the well-being of animals, which started from a young age. Growing up in the country, Sarah cared for dogs, cats, and exotic birds, not to mention an eclectic mix of farm animals. Her love for animals has compelled her to spend time volunteering at local shelters. She is lucky to have found her now 7 year old Doberman, Rowan, and 13 year old cat, Tuna, from the humane society. She considers the relationships with her animals as a spiritual connection, treating them with love, respect and compassion.
Such short little lives our pets have to spend with us, and they spend most of it waiting for us to come home each day. Sarah is honored to be able to spend time and have a personal relationship with the pets of the Homeward Bound family. It is amazing how much love and laughter they bring to our lives and even how much closer we become with each other because of them.
