The Kiamies have a home overflowing with love! We cannot think of a more appropriate family to celebrate during the month of February!
Peggy Kiamie is one lady with lots to smile about. She is a self-admitted “tennis nut” which keeps her both busy and fit, but it is her 3 adult children, 4 grandchildren (with one more on the way), 2 dog children and 3 grand-dogs who keep her laughing and her heart full.
The human children and grandchildren certainly take priority, but there is no doubt it’s the pups that rule the roost! Before Jack and Bob’s arrival in February of 2009, Peggy was already being well “trained” by her grand-dogs Rufus, Greta and Shorty, all of whom spent generous amounts of time with her over the years. She fenced in her yard for them to have ample space to play and then, some years later when Shorty learned how to jump over it, she re-built a taller, bigger fence! Peggy was primed for a pup of her own. Not wanting her new baby to be lonely she was determined to get two!
Jack and Bob were just getting their barrings in their new home when Shorty came to meet his new cousins. He mistook them for two squirrels in the yard and went running after them! Two tiny, fawn colored pug puppies….I can see where Shorty might have been confused!
Jack and Bob do fight over mom’s lap space as siblings often do, but Bob has figured out how to win that argument every time. Jack it turns out is a bit of a toy hog so anytime he is dominating Peggy’s attention, Bob simply gets a toy to play with. Jack can’t resist taking it away from him and then Bob promptly resumes his place on Peggy’s lap, alone. Smart boy. Jack and Bob love to play together and when they do they sound like two little men engaged in a martial arts match using the Kiai and Aiki “battle cries” over and over. Talk about hysterical! It’s obvious why Peggy displays such a genuine smile. A home and family full of love and laughter.
Thanks to Peggy, Jack and Bob for sharing their joy with us!
