October is the perfect month to celebrate the Larson family, Daisha and Mark, and their furry baby Mr. Mally. He is the apple of Daisha’s eye. She has always been a fan of poodles, especially her Grandparent’s poodle, snoop.
Not being quite sure why she named him Mally, he just looked like one. She was very sure why she added the Mr. It sounds so southern! Not being from the south, she is very charmed by it. Daisha is from Fargo, North Dakota. Mark was from Water Valley and moved to Oxford for his family business, Larson’s Cash Saver. Oddly enough they found each other through mutual friends and married 5 years ago. Thank the lucky stars for friends.
Mr. Mally came to Daisha as a gift from Mark, a gift that always keeps giving. He sits like a human and watches tv with them, unless is busy chasing squirrels in the back yard. He follows his routine every day and seems to understand every word they say. His favorite time is family time, enjoying evening walks, Ole Miss football, and vacations on the beaches of Sandestin, Florida. His favorite tangible things are his friend Mr. Pig, his blanket, his “red treat ball” and all presents. Mr. Mally is always helpful to everyone by opening their gifts, but unfortunately thinks they are all for him.
The whole family enjoys Oxford, including their human children Alan,23 and Chad, 36, with his wife and growing family. They enjoy the small town with the “large town vibe.” Ole Miss sporting events and all of the unique places Oxford has to offer have made this “home” for the Larsons.
